Arrival Day

• Shuttle pickup: We will collect your flight information prior to the trip and arrange ground transportation for you. If your arrival is delayed for some reason, your shuttle will wait for you. You will find your shuttle driver waiting in the passenger pickup area, holding a sign that says “Pickleball Getaways”. To find the meeting point, all you need to do is collect your bags and head towards the exit!

Day 2

• 8 – 9:30am: Instructional clinic
• 3 – 5pm: Meetup play (4.0+)
• 5 – 7pm: Meetup play (2.5, 3.0, 3.5)
• 8 – 9:30pm: Trivia Night

Day 3

• 9:45 – 11:15am: Instructional clinic
• 3 – 5pm: Meetup play (2.5, 3.0, 3.5)
• 5 – 7pm: Meetup play (4.0+)
• 8 – 9:30pm: Q&A with the pros

Day 4

• 8 – 9:30am: Instructional clinic
• 12:30 – 6pm: Tour
  This is an optional tour for an additional fee (typically $75 – 125 per person). The tour on your getaway might not be the exact tour featured here:
  Tulum and Cenote Tour: We start by visiting the beautiful Tulum ruins, and then we move on to a cenote—a naturally occurring pool—for a swim. We will finish our adventure with a meal before returning to the resort.

Day 5

• 9:45 – 11:15am: Instructional clinic

Day 6

• 8 – 9:30am: Instructional clinic
• 12:30 – 6pm: Tour

Catamaran Tour: On this outing, we will go sailing on a luxury catamaran! We’ll head out to one of the most impressive reefs in the Caribbean for a snorkeling, swimming, and paddle boarding adventure! You will be able to relax out on the water, enjoy the views, and see various sea creatures. A lunch box is provided.

Day 7

Wear your Pickleball Getaways T – shirt today for photos!

• 9:45 – 10:45am: Pro exhibition
• 11am – 12:30pm: Play with the pros
• 3 – 5pm: Meetup play (2.5, 3.0, 3.5)
• 5 – 7pm: Meetup play (4.0+)
• 8pm: Farewell dinner at one of the resort’s restaurants

Departure Day

We will arrange your ground transportation to the airport based on your flight’s departure time

Suggested Packing List

• Sun protection: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, aloe vera, and/or sun – protective clothing
• Bathing suit
• Athletic shoes, sandals, and shoes you don’t mind getting wet
• Athletic wear (lots of it!)
• Pickleball paddle
• Electrolytes
• Casual or smart casual clothes for dinner
• Phone charger (USA adapters will work)
• Cash (USD will work) if you would like to tip your driver or the resort staff

The Grand Palladium Colonial Resort and Spa

The Grand Palladium is an all-inclusive resort that lies on the picturesque Mayan Riviera, just a short drive from both Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Set within lush, tropical gardens, this palatial escape is situated alongside soft, white sand lapped by the turquoise Caribbean Sea. It offers a varied selection of buffets and a la carte restaurants, several pools, and fun activities and entertainment.

When you’re not on the pickleball courts, you’ll be able to enjoy everything the resort has to offer alongside new friends and fellow players! There will be various social events for you to get to know other guests on this getaway and make new memories alongside them. We will also offer some off-site excursions (at an additional cost) to explore local areas and enjoy new experiences.

Pickleball

The clinics with our other coaches will accumulate to 7.5+ hours of instruction throughout the week, with a premium ratio of students-to-coaches. There will also be fun mini games, open play at any time, and meetup play for players at similar skill levels. All these fun pickleball activities will take place on tennis courts that will be divided into 15 temporary pickleball courts for our personal use.

Pros & Coaches

The clinics with our other coaches will accumulate to 7.5+ hours of instruction throughout the week, with a premium ratio of students-to-coaches. There will also be fun mini games, open play at any time, and meetup play for players at similar skill levels. All these fun pickleball activities will take place on three tennis courts that will be divided into 12 temporary pickleball courts for our personal use.

Pricing

Single Occupancy: $3,520
Double Occupancy: $5,560 ($2,780 per person)

You can make a $1,000 Initial Deposit to reserve a single occupancy or $1,200 to reserve a double occupancy. You need only place one Initial Deposit for your entire double occupancy. Your initial deposit will be deducted from your grand total (listed above).

After placing your Initial Deposit, the remainder will be due by October 5th. The process of placing your final deposit will be exactly the same as placing your initial deposit. We recommend adding pickleballgetaways@gmail.com to your Email Contacts so that you do not miss our reminder emails and other information.

We welcome guests of any and all skill levels! We will match you with other players so that you are playing with guests at your approximate skill level.

If you would like to register for this trip, but you have a partner or roommate who does not play pickleball, please let us know at pickleballgetaways@gmail.com! You will be eligible for a discount for the guest who will not participate in the pickleball events.

Transportation

You should fly into the Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is approximately 50 minutes away from The Grand Palladium Resort & Spa. We will have ground transportation waiting for you when you land!

You should fly in on February 19th and fly out on February 26th. We recommend flying in a little earlier in the day on February 3rd so that you can attend our welcome dinner that evening.

Cancellation Policy

If canceling 121 days or more from date of trip: 50% refund of the Initial Deposit

If canceling 91-120 days from date of trip: Loss of the Initial Deposit

If canceling 61-90 days from date of trip: 50% refund of total amount paid

If canceling 60 or fewer days from date of trip: No refund
