Portugal is one of the safest and most welcoming countries in Europe. It has a winning combination of scenic cities, rich culture, delectable cuisines, natural beauty, and friendly locals. This trip will include visits to Lisbon, Porto, Sintra, Douro Valley, Guimaraes, Aveiro, historical sites, wineries, and much more!

Pricing
Single Occupancy: $5,630 USD
Double Occupancy: $9,320 USD ($4,660 per person)
You can make a $1,200 Initial Deposit to reserve a single occupancy or $1,800 to reserve a double occupancy. You need only place one Initial Deposit for your entire double occupancy. Your initial deposit will be deducted from your grand total.
After placing your Initial Deposit, the remainder will be due by February 1st, 2027. You can pay your remaining balance from your account.

We will be staying in two different 4-5-star hotels:

Pickleball
Whether you’re looking to improve your skills, meet new playing partners, or just have fun, this getaway offers something for every level of player. Play will take place on 8 temporary pickleball courts. Water refills will be on-site.
Here’s what you have to look forward to:
- Daily instructional clinics led by top pros and coaches with a 8:1 ratio of students and coaches — or better!
- A pro exhibition
- Skill-based meetup play to ensure competitive and enjoyable games
Instructional clinics include demonstrations, drills, minigames, strategy, mechanics, and much more. Our team will start out with a demonstration, and then players will be assigned to courts to practice while coaches oversee. Court assignments are based on your own self-evaluation when you register and are adjusted if coaches notice mismatched players.
Pros
Our team will be carefully handpicked based on their experience, instructional skills, and love of the sport. The full lineup of coaches is yet to be announced, but you can check out our Guest Pros page to see which pros often make appearances on our getaways! Some of our pros may offer private lessons, depending on their personal preference.

Guests
We welcome players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors! We typically see a lot of 3.0-4.0 players, with some 2.5 and 4.5 players. We’ll make sure you’re matched with other guests at your level for the best experience.
Transportation
You should fly into the Porto International Airport (OPO) on June 2nd. We recommend arriving a little earlier in the day so you can get settled in and attend our welcome dinner in the evening.
You should fly out of the Lisbon International Airport (LIS) on June 11th.
Note that the airport you fly into is different than the airport you fly out of.
We will collect your flight information prior to the trip to arrange your ground transportation to/from the airport. You will find your driver waiting in the passenger pickup area, holding a sign that says “Pickleball Getaways”. To find the meeting point, all you need to do is collect your bags and head towards the exit!

Additional Information
- Check with your bank to see which debit/credit cards you should use in Portugal – some cards have foreign transaction fees. If you like to have cash on hand, you can withdraw Euros from a local ATM.
- You will not need a Visa.
- You will need a passport.
- You will need a European outlet adapter—plugs from the US will not work! You can find these on Amazon.
- We recommend purchasing travel insurance for any international trip you take, including this one. Pickleball Getaways does not provide travel insurance.
Travel Insurance
Pickleball Getaways does not offer travel insurance. However, we encourage you to purchase travel insurance separately for all trips you take. There are many insurance providers available, and you should speak with different providers to compare. Insuremytrip.com can be used to compare different options.
Insurance can help with situations such as:
- If you get sick or hurt while traveling
- If you need to cancel due to inclement weather
- If you need to cancel due to work reasons
- If your luggage is lost or stolen
Cancellation Policy
This policy applies to Pickleball Getaways to Europe and Asia.
The Initial Deposit is non-refundable.
If cancelling 91 days or more from date of trip: 50% refund of total amount paid
If cancelling 61-90 days from date of trip: 30% refund of total amount paid
If cancelling 60 or fewer days from date of trip: No refund
