First experience with any pb coaching, I learned so much and the enthusiasm of all the coaches makes me want to learn more. Great positive energy! The daily schedules, and lessons were well organized, and I like the space and time for tours and private lessons.

Was great start to finish. The coaches were energetic, entertaining and helpful. I walked away with new friends and definitely some things to work on to improve my game.

Lessons both group and private were great! I had the opportunity to meet my fellow pickleball players during the group lessons and during open play. Was such a pleasurable experience.

Punta Cana 2025

Always good. Fun drills to make the play and learning more interesting. Plus, it’s always good when the pros are walking around critiquing each of us – they may throw out a little tip that changes everything in our game. They are always very helpful AND encouraging. Loved ALL the pros, content of what they taught, and the people we met. It was a very relaxing trip!!  Love the fact that each day can be about as much or as little pickleball as each person wants.

The coaches were excellent. I really appreciated all of their different perspectives. Brian gave me some excellent tips for my serve and Allie gave me some great strategic advice. I thought it was a great ratio of pros to campers.

I thought the trip was very well organized and there was great communication through WhatsApp.

I liked that each morning was focused on a different skill set and I loved the afternoon activities like Live Ball and Play with the Pros.

It was awesome to get amazing pickleball instruction and play with so many people in a beautiful environment.

I enjoy the camaraderie of camp. Pickleball people are good people, and for me that’s what I like most. People brought together by a passion for the game.  And then you add top level coaches and skill/drill development—that’s a big win!

Mayan Riviera 2025

Great coaches, beautiful facility, and meeting lots of wonderful new friends. All of the coaches were there for us for every minute of every session. They gave their all, gave great constructive criticism, and did it in a very positive, upbeat manner, as well as being the first to give high-fives and a “great job” when we did something correctly! They made every one of us feel valued and special! Great drills for every morning session.

Mayan Riviera 2025

What an amazing week! Our Pickleball Getaway did not disappoint! Each of the pros – Ben, Preston, Joey, Josh, Blake, Chris, and Ariana – was a top-notch instructor and person. Georgia did an amazing job coordinating it all. We loved having the opportunity to take private lessons as well. The pickleball, the all-inclusive resort, the great camaraderie amongst the players, the food, the pools and beach, and the nightly entertainment, all in the warm healing weather of a jungle January, made for a memorable trip. We’ll be back!

Mayan Riviera 2024

Pickleball Getaways was such a great way to improve pickleball skills and meet new friends from all around the US. Very friendly atmosphere to learn and practice new techniques was provided by the pros.

Janette F.

I absolutely loved my trip to Mexico with PG. The morning clinics were wonderfully instructive with critical drills designed to improve your game, open play always available in the afternoons. The optional trips were fabulous, especially the catamaran excursion way out to sea where we were able to snorkel in the clearest waters, and just the friendly and kind vibe made this experience an overall winner. Connections and new friends were made in just a few short days and I am sure I will be joining this organization again soon. Traveling is always fun, but being able to travel as well as play pickleball daily is awesome! If you choose to go to the Mayan Riviera you will not be disappointed but remember to bring bug spray!

Orly G.

This was my second trip to pickleball camp with Pickleball Getaways to this resort and we had another fantastic week of awesome pickleball and good times! Can’t say enough good things about how well organized (and executed!) our 7 days were. We drilled, we played hard, we laughed, we ate, we relaxed! Really fun times!

Amy R.

This trip was epic!!!! Highly recommend for any level of player looking for an incredible pickleball training experience with top pros in a smaller group setting and in a beautiful country!

Cary P.

If you enjoy pickleball, travel and meeting new friends, Pickleball Getaways is where you want to be. The coaches were amazing – very professional in their instruction, drills and coaching. Playing with them was fun and educational. The excursions were excellent. The coaches were with us while playing, on excursion, at meals and during social (bar) hours before dinner. The coaches as well as our fellow travelers all became new friends after all the time we spent together. We are on waiting lists for future getaways!

Jeff M.

We loved our experience with Pickleball Getaways. All the pros were amazing. The excursions were fabulous, cultural and exciting. We had a mix of great travel to Costa Rica, met new friends, learned from pros! I highly recommend them. oh and very organized, which I appreciate. We will be going on another trip next year.

Lita O.

My husband and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend Pickleball Getaways’ 2021 inaugural trip to Costa Rica. This was the perfect balance for us – hours of instruction and play time each day, combined with touring the local area and some relaxing down time. The instruction was top notch – we had four pros for 34 players. When I say pros, I mean real, highly ranked pros who are also experienced, enthusiastic, excellent instructors. They did a great job teaching in such a way that we all learned and practiced (my husband is a 4.0+ and I am a 3.0), and the other players on the trip were equally enthusiastic and varied in level. The facilities were quite nice (covered taped courts) and the guided tours were exactly what I would have picked if I had made the choice myself. We loved that the pros came along and we had all meals together. We plan to take annual trips with Pickleball Getaways for as long as they continue to offer destinations we enjoy!

Shaun S.

Costa Rica 2021

If you love pickleball and traveling the world, you have found the one and only team! I thought maybe I would love Costa Rica and the professionals would spend the week teaching me to dink. SO WRONG. I now consider all four pros as personal friends. They invested so much time and energy in helping me advance every aspect of my game, while at the same time treating me to a travel adventure of a lifetime. We are already signed up for another clinic in Mexico in a few months. Amazing opportunity to play with and learn from the Tiger Woods of this game. This is a once in a life time adventure for PB lovers that love to travel !!!!”

Todd M.

Well-organized from start to finish. Lots of structured instruction from pros who are not only incredible players but also great coaches (pro staff was particularly well-selected). Very low player-to-coach ratio. Pros routinely showed up at the open play, which was also a great way to learn–exposed all of my mistakes! I am definitely a better pickleball player than when I started, but more importantly, I had so much fun. I cannot wait to do another trip!

Suzanne A.

Awesome experience with the clinics! The pros were respectful and encouraging when teaching. I can’t wait to use my third shot on the players in NJ. Thanks again!

Barbara H.

Do yourself a huge favor and sign up for a trip! The PB Getaways formula is close to perfect! Find a fab resort with a lotta of free courts, get awesome friendly *expert* teachers (who doesnt want to hang put with Dekel Bar & Ben Johns?) who are **top pro coachs & players** to handle small group coaching, schedule a range of options: clinics, open play, and **guided tours with a top partner company run by locals. To top it off, Incredibodacious exhibition points with laughs and gasps and unbelievable returns of Obvious winner shots.
I give them the max number of stars. Go DB & BJ!!!!!!
I am back home now, rested and ready to play Better! Such good role models with great form: thanks to the whole team!

Grace T.

Just returned from this fabulous PIckleball Getaways experience in the Mayan Riviera !

It totally exceeded my expectations. Dekel was Excellent with all of the Pre-camp organization; he took care of our shuttles which were on time, and arranged for our extra room nights at the resort. All went without a flaw. A few days before the trip we received our individual itineraries and Dekel was so helpful and efficient with making our requested changes. I was very impressed with how smoothly this all went.

Then came the clinics! I was pretty curious about how things would work with a group of 80 people, the largest I’ve experienced before was about 24. I knew we were going to have a number of pros but still with 80 people I wondered about the amount of time and direct instruction each of us would receive. Turned out perfect! Not only is Ben an extraordinary player he is also a very skilled teacher. His instructions were clear and easy to follow, he demonstrated everything and also involved all of the pros in adding their tips on executing each of the skills. I was truly amazed! I was also impressed with how well the pros worked together; they always demonstrated a fun, helpful, encouraging and respectful manner. I should emphasize the fun part because they were very enthusiastic, I loved the banter, and they are all exceptionally skilled.

Bry and I stayed on two extra nights and thanks to Dekel leaving up a net we were able to play/drill a few more times. We had no trouble practicing for two hours with new drills!

We also enjoyed the resort; it was the biggest one I’ve ever been to and had lots of activities. I’m not a big foodie, but I really enjoyed all of the restaurants and chose a different themed one every night!

Since being home I’ve shared this experience with many in our PB group. Also been sharing some of the tips and drills that we learned. I would highly recommend Pickleball Getaways. We are looking forward to booking again.

Brenda D.

The entire week was flawless. Travel, clinics, open play accommodations, excursions… all masterfully coordinated by Ben, Dekel and all the other pros. I expected good clinics, but they far exceeded my expectations. I took away valuable tips and techniques that really improved my play.

I make no exaggeration when I say this was one of the best weeks of my life. I can’t wait to attend another.

Dave A.

We had such a smooth, easy vacation. All the arrangements from checking in to departure were extremely organized.

Dekel & Ben were on top of everything & easily accessible.
P ball lessons were very helpful & fun. They made Drilling appealing. Excellent job of Accommodating every level of play. Plenty of pro’s with a variety of teaching styles. Can’t wait to go again.

Jamie W.

Had fun in the sun learning from a super informative group of professional instructors. Focusing and teaching techniques and implementing into play. I would recommend anyone wanting to change or better your game to come enjoy and learn from the best.

Linda V.

Great week! 😎 Awesome pros! Fun and friendly Pickleball folks!! Lovely resort- amazing food, scenic beach and pools, abundant cats and critters! We’ll be back!

Marianne G.

Very professional group- they meticulously managed every detail of the trip from transportation to boarding and lodging and Pickleball training. Ben Johns; Dekel Bar and the other pros were exceptional in the coaching with their patience , answering Q’s , demonstrating different techniques and playing with us.

The stay was 5 star experience , very comfortable, great location in the Riveria Maya, and a very fun group of folks – all with a common passion to have fun Dinking and playing.
Highly recommend this group.

Shekhar I.

We loved this getaway. The coaching was top notch, the location was awesome and people (both coaches and fellow players) were friendly and social. Aside from a good vacation, I also feel like my game improved and that I’ve been thinking more strategically since attending. Definitely plan on doing another soon.

Erin S.

Fantastic time. The clinics were great. Trying to incorporate the dinking game back home amongst the slammers.

Ellen C.

We loved every part of this trip. It was cool to have the “names” there, like Ben Johns, but not everyone who’s great at a task is great at teaching it. Well, Ben was a wonderful coach. As was everyone else here. Clear, concise instruction and then a good amount of drill time to hone that skill. They were all so friendly and willing to help any time.

You could almost always pick up a game in the afternoons as well. And it was a blast to watch the pros play. And many were available for private lessons. Everyone was nice and the skill levels were enough that you never felt way outmatched and never felt like you were overpowering someone else.

The resort and the beach were a step above most other all-inclusive resorts. The food left something to be desired in my book, but that’s most all-inclusives for me.

We will be signing up for this trip as soon as we can for next year. Thanks so much!

James C.

Had a great week. A lot of fun and well organized. The pros were great!

Leah T.

The best teachers, mixed with the most fun. Could not have asked for a better time.

Ginny M.

5 star organization all around. Ben, Dekel and all the pros were awesome. I would highly recommend a trip with them for anyone who loves to play pickleball!

Mary L.

It was a great experience. Plenty of pro players to help with the group sessions and individual time available.

Cheryl W.

Best vacation ever!! Trainers were awesome and down to earth.

Bryan T.

Everything about our week with Pickleball Getaways in the Mayan Riviera exceeded all our expectations! The Pros (8 of them!!) are exceptional players, but more importantly, they were ALL outstanding teachers and even better people. Friendly, fun, approachable–always willing to answer questions. Ben Johns and Dekel Bar worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was covered–transportation to & from the airport, local tours, and of course the pickleball clinics, free play, & exhibitions. The resort was beautiful and the food was TOO good! My husband and I are already looking to book again!

Kathrin K.

The organization for the Mayan Riviera trip both before and during the week was brilliant. We were always well informed and kept abreast of changing times, locations, etc. And the pros were all wonderful; approachable, candid, helpful, easy to understand, not to mention amazingly talented, both in play and teaching to impart helpful hints along the way. I’m ready to repeat next year, as the resort itself is great, and I’m already in Mexico, so getting there is a breeze. Thanks for a wonderful week.

Karen S.

My father and I enjoyed an AMAZING 8 days with Pickleball Getaways last week in the Mayan Riviera! Every single pro (as in all 8 of them!) was extremely approachable, friendly, and excellent at giving pickleball tips. Ben is exceptionally good at teaching different skills, and then showing us how to do it. Dekel was SO well organized with his communication about trip details – both before and during the week. We did 2 excursions (Tulum and swimming in cenotes) and loved both of them. I cannot wait to do another trip with them to a different destination in the future!

Wendy D.

Thanks guys for such a wonderful time last week at Mayan Riviera it was awesome learning from you guys and all the pros. Loved learing and playing with all the pros. Wonderful experience looking forward to joining you guys on another Pickleball Getaways Vacation! I highly recommend Pickleball Getaways.

Ruth L.

Ben and Dekel,

Thank you for a truly wonderful week of pickleball instruction and play on your Mayan Riviera 2020 Getaway. It was all that I hoped it would be and more!

Both of you and the team of pros that you assembled were impressive, skilled, capable, kind, supportive, and genuinely helpful.

As business owners, you are professional, mature, organized, flexible, gracias, calm, and respectful. It is clear that you are committed to sharing your knowledge in a way that results in a positive and fun experience everyone. You succeeded!

I am already planning to do this getaway again next year, and, if possible, I hope to do a different one in a different place with you.

Pat K.

What a great week with Pickleball Getaways in the Mayan Riviera! Everything about the week was extremely well organized. The pros were the best – supportive teachers and a pleasure to be around! A five star experience!

Pam L.

Outstanding instruction, great fun, wonderful places to visit, lots of people to meet and play with – couldn’t be better. The pros were kind and personable while still doing great training. Highly recommended.

Greg B.

My wife and I experienced our first Pickleball Getaways trip in November and all I can say is WOW! What an unbelievable experience. They had everything planned out to the smallest detail. Excellent pickleball instruction from the very approachable pros that we now consider our friends. They played with us and against us and even went on the excursions with us. The skills they taught us will absolutely help get us to the next level. We can’t recommend them enough and have another trip booked for 2022 in Mexico.

Brian H.

Your ability to teach, explain, and demonstrate were the best I have experienced. Your ability to keep everything going and flowing throughout the week was amazing.

Matthew K.

Ben and Dekel, thank you for the fantastic time in Ecuador, it was a trip of a life time. Everyday there was a new adventure AND two hours of awesome instructional pickleball. I can’t thank you enough for all the time and effort put into this wonderful trip. If you are thinking about taking a pickleball vacation, PICKLEBALL GETAWAYS is the way to go. I am looking forward to my next Pickleball Getaway vacation.

Trisha N.

The time we spent on court was priceless in my book. It was a tremendous commitment on your parts to spend so much time with us. This adventure will be hard to top!

Ken H.

I was privileged to join Pickleball Getaways in Ecuador in august. the skills and drills were insightful, well planned, and tremendously helpful in development. the tours and guides were top notch and we really covered a lot of ground in the andean highlands. these trips are delightfully priced, with a reasonable single supplement. you’ll be glad you went!!

Jeffrey S.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Mexico. The pickleball and the people we met made the trip. We enjoyed the drill clinics and tips from the pros. The open play was a great way to practice and have a chance to play different styles of play. We will definitely be interested in another trip with this group. A lot is planning goes into pulling this off and you did a tremendous job. This trip exceeded our expectations. Thanks again for everything!
